A history in bones

The skeleton is the scaffolding that supports life.

A whale’s skeleton is an apparatus that is perfectly adapted to the marine environment, which is so inhospitable to humans. Beneath tonnes of flesh lie millions of years of adaptations to an aquatic way of life. By exposing their skeletons at the CIMM (Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre) in Tadoussac, GREMM has given a second life to a dozen whales found washed up along the shores of the St. Lawrence. Each specimen tells a fascinating story, a history in bones for you to discover!
